Who are invited to join the TCI Conference?
Join the worldwide TCI (The Competitiveness Institute) Network of policymakers, cluster managers, entrepreneurs, opinion leaders, academia and visionaries at this conference to become inspired, learn, exchange and return home with new ideas, skills and approaches. Not only can you contribute to the most recent discussions on clusters, innovation ecosystems and economic development but you can experience first-hand how relevant these topics are amongst others, for the high-tech and food clusters in the region by visiting them during the Cluster Tours.

For TCI regulars this year's programme looks a bit different. We want to create the best opportunities for all of you to meet up and share with cluster-minded practitioners and learn from each other. That is why we have chosen an intensive three-day format with a clear focus and specific goals for each day. All of the days are filled with enjoyable and inspiring informal activities.

Day 1, the Touring Day, takes you on one of the Cluster Tours to immerse yourself in one of the successful clusters in the Netherlands.

Day 2, the Summit Day, has a number of inspirational world-renowned speakers in a stimulating environment of stories and dialogues.

Day 3
, the Working Day, is meant for you to get down to work with your colleagues in various interactive sessions, to take home new insights and perspectives, new partners.

The two organising partners bring together the different worlds of agrifood and high-tech manufacturing in a unique collaboration. Brainport Eindhoven Region is the heart of the high-tech manufacturing industry in the Netherlands, home to leading global companies as Philips, ASML, DAF, NXP and many more. Brainport Development is the development agency for this top technology region. The region is also renowned for its leading and innovative agrifood sector.

Wageningen University & Research has strong ties with the region, using its full range of expertise to ‘explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life’. Working with, for and based on the worldfamous Dutch agrifood sector, Wageningen University & Research contributes top-quality expertise and experience in fundamental as well as applied research to translate knowledge into practice. Wageningen University & Research is partner in both agrifood clusters and in regional triple helix governance networks.

Please join the three-day TCI 2016 Global Conference in Eindhoven and register for the event by using the button below.

Unfortunately, the deadline for the Call for Contributions has passed and you can no longer submit your contribution to the General or Academic Track. However, you are more than welcome to share your knowledge and experiences on the conference topics (Cities & Competitiveness, Modern Cluster Policy, Managing Learning Networks, Food Clusters) or the Academic Track. You can do this by joining the interactive sessions of the Working Day.

Practical information


The TCI 2016 conference will take place mainly at 040 Congress & Events Van der Valk Hotel Eindhoven and the conference centre at High Tech Campus Eindhoven.
